Austin has worked with ceramics for 15 years and holds a Masters of Fine Art from Goldsmiths University London, as well as a Bachelors of Fine Art from UCLA. He has sold and exhibited his art internationally.

Austin opened MUD to share the peace and joy pottery has brought him, and because it can be hard for hobbyists and beginner potters to find available studio space. His goal for MUD is to create an inspiring and welcoming space with a focus on community and sustainability.
